Equivalent diameter of triangular tower sections

I have seen various figures quoted for the equivalent diameter of a
triangular tower section in the pre-NEC era of numbers such as 0.6 times the
face width, etc. Has anyone done modeling to verify a number for the
ubiquitous tower sections such as Rohn 25/45/55? Or does anyone have a
reference for current thinking on the appropriate value for use in MF
modeling of monopoles constructed of tower sections? (much easier than
constructing the legs with all of the bracing and probably more accurate!)

Thanks, John
