Kraus, 1950 gives the effective radius as 25 percent of the width,
providing the strip is thin. Jasik Antenna Handbook gives a relation for
cages. Of course, flat strip can be simulated by round wires in parallel.
I know of no specific rules, but the guidelines for wire grid models
