Good day, Duncan.

I went home for lunch today, so I was able to bring back the book with
the tube cross references.
        
        VT4B = 211 Triode (very popular with the modern tube audiophiles*)
        VT30 = 01-A Triode (a rather early triode)
        VT-31 = 31
        VT-80 = 80 (rectifier, ancestor of the 5Y3 rectifier)

* These "audiophiles" typically are those who have discovered many
strange transmission line modes in speaker cable - such as
directionality and the belief that such lines need to be "broken in"
before passing audio signals. Read the Usenet audio groups to see
these and other magical things explained. :-)
