Re: NEC-LIST: EZNEC-Pro and Long Computation Time and other Tid-Bits

Dear All,

Some time back Ed Miller and a colleague proposed the use of model
based parameter estimation to fill in the gaps in frequency scan
calculation. My student Tobie de Beer and I used this some time back
to investigate the characteristics of LPDAs under deformation. An
article was published in one of the ACES transactions a few years back
(1995). Unfortunately we never had the support to get the programme
he used into shape for general applications, but it would be
worthwhile for someone somewhere to do this. One can drastically
reduce computation time by sampling and using MBPE.

I recall (but am pressed for time) that Ed Miller did a few tutorial
articles on this technique.

Maybe Ed (who is on leave at present), or a colleague, could flash the
article references to NEC-LIST.

Best regards,
Duncan Baker.
