A nice collection of QuickTime movies, .wav movies, and
user-interactive Java applets illustrating basic electrodynamics,
magneto- and electrostatics, and E-M radiation has been developed and
put on the Web at

by MIT Prof. of Physics John Belcher. Try them; you'll enjoy them.

Unfortunately, none of them does much to answer this list's hot
question -- of whence, on a half-wavelength wire dipole, most of the
radiation comes!
