I am amazed that this animal is still around. It should have been
dispatched either with a silver bullet or a stake through the heart.

Jack's comment re Barnis and Brian Stewart reminds me that many years
ago one of my colleagues in the military had dead spots on the
automatic tuning unit for his HF communications systems. Some
questioning revealed that there was a metal mast for a VHF link
nearby. Solution - move the HF whip antenna further away, thus
reducing the coupling.
