NEC-LIST:X-86 Processor Optimizations

FYI,

If you compile the NEC source with the latest versions of G77, version 3.x,
there are some x-86 processor specific optimizations that are now available
that should improve the speed of running NEC. Although I have not benchmarked
the performance, using the SIMD instruction set should make it faster, i.e
SSE, SSE2, 3D-NOW. You can use the "Cygwin" environment or the Mingw
environment to compile on Win-32. For exapmle the flag for SSE2 is -msse2.
Give it a shot.
