NEC-LIST: Make GIFs from antenna plots

I've just placed a small (and free) utility program on my home page that may
be of use to some readers of this list. The "MakeGIF" utility allows you to
create a GIF file from any picture or bitmap that has been copied to the
clipboard, with optional resizing along the way. You can then use the GIF
file on a web page or in an email.

Many antenna modeling programs have functions to make clipboard copies. For
example, EZNEC and EZNEC/Pro have "Copy Plot" (and sometimes "Copy Plot and
Data") menu items available for the View Antenna, 2D plot, 3D plot, and SWR
plot graphics windows. The Nittany Scientific programs (NEC-Win Plus+,
NEC-Win Pro, GNEC) have similar "Copy All" and "Copy Area" (copy a
user-selected rectangular subset) menu items. With MakeGIF you can easily
turn any of these clipboard copies into GIFs.

Of course there are many different ways to make GIF files. This utility
gives you one more option to add to your bag of tricks. Perhaps other
readers could post back with their favorite methods.

Available at www.qsl.net/ac6la/, look for the "Make a GIF" link. Requires
Excel 97 or later. If you are comfortable with Excel macros you are welcome
to snoop around the Visual Basic code and perhaps extract portions for your
own projects. The code is not locked or hidden in any way.
