General Helix Modeling Question:

I have modeled a simple helix,

CM

CM HELIX with infinite ground plane

CM Runs with Nittnay Scientific GNEC ver 1.1.

CM All values are in meters

CE

GH 1 120 19 0.4156 0.01638 0.01638 0.001 0.001 0

GM 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0.006 0

GW 22 3 0.01638 0.0 0.000 0.01638 0.0 0.006 0.001

GE 1 0 0

GN 1

FR 0 5 0 0 2100 50

EX 0 22 2 00 1.0 0.0

RP 0 91 1 1000 -90 0 2.00000 1.00000

EN

The total gain vs. frequency is

2100 16.48

2150 15.46

2200 14.9

2250 14.5

2300 14.4

Seems nice except that the experimentally determined gains are increasing
with frequency rather than decreasing (infact, almost like the numbers are
reversed, the lowest gain is about 14.4 at 2100 and the highest is about

16.5 at 2300). Comments?

Cheers,

Bruce Blevins
