NEC-LIST: J-pole modeling

I'm thinking of putting up a J-pole antenna for the 2-meter band.
There are many designs around, but I would like to use NEC to check
some of these out before I actually start building. My up-front
suspicion is that exciting the NEC model of the antenna would be the
tricky part. Has anyone had any success modeling the J-pole with NEC
or MININEC? Many thanks in advance.
