If anyone is interested, I coded a matlab version of the real-valued
GA that Derek Linden presented at the 1997 APS in Montreal (see also,
"Wire-Antenna Designs Using Genetic Algorithms", E. Altshuler, D.
Linden, April 1997 IEEE Antennas & Propagation Magazine). NEC2 was
the simulation engine used in their optimization. Send an email if
you'd like a copy of the GA code.
