Dear all,

I'll respond to some reactions on my previous posting (which was
about the movies in:
  http://www.iae.nl/users/bergervo/gouy/dipole.html
  http://www.iae.nl/users/bergervo/gouy/gouy.html )

1) Q: The interpretation of the Poynting vector.
A: This leads to deep philosiophical questions. That's
      why I explicitely wrote:
"If you believe that the Pyonting vector gives the
        energy flow, then ... "

2) Q: What kind of FDTD package did you use?
A: The Fortran code given on the web-page does the job. It is
kept to minimal length by using splitting of the fields,
necessary for Berenger boundaries, also in the interior.

3) Q: I'm curious to see similar movies of Sz at different
      values of z, e.g., at z = 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, ...
   A: That's why I included the Fortran code! :-)

4) Q: S-sub-y calculations and display would provide a
convenient check. Has this been done?
A: Not yet, but see previous question!

(Jos)
