dear Miguel,

feeding the discone antenna : the discone consists of a conical
section with the vertex, opposite to the base of the conus. The conus
has a center hole from the base to the vertex that allows a coax cable
to connect to the disk which is on top of the conus. The center of
the coax is connected to the disk, whereas the outer conductor
connects to the conus. The base diameter and the height of the conus
is approx. two wavelengths in diameter. The diameter of the disk is
approx. one-and-one half wavelength. The impedance, above the cutoff
frequency, is fairly constant across a frequency range of 1 to 4.
